What we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us. This website has no forms, no sign-up and no tracking. Everything on it is a link that opens your own email application.
The information we hold falls into these groups:
- Enquiries. If you email us, we hold your name, email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.
- College and partner contacts. Names, job titles, email addresses and telephone numbers of staff at partner colleges, cultural organisations and industry partners, held so we can run the consortium.
- Expressions of interest in board and steering group roles. The information in the note, CV or LinkedIn profile you send us.
- Competition and live brief entries. Entrant name, college, and the submitted work.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use personal information to reply to enquiries, to run the consortium and its partnerships, to assess applications for board and steering group roles, and to administer competitions and live briefs.
Our lawful basis for most of this is legitimate interests: we need contact details to run a partnership organisation and to correspond with people who have approached us. Where we hold information for a longer period or use it in a way you would not expect, we rely on your consent and you can withdraw it at any time.
Entrants under 18
Competition and live brief entries may come from students under 18. Entries reach us through their college rather than directly, and the college is responsible for obtaining any consent required from the student and, where relevant, a parent or guardian. We hold entry information only for as long as the competition and any associated publicity require.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing. We share it only where it is necessary to run our work, for example with consortium partner colleges in connection with a competition or event, or with funders where a named contact is required in an application. We will tell you if we need to do this.
Our email is hosted by a third party service provider which processes data on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and then for a reasonable period afterwards. Records that we are required to keep for statutory or funding audit purposes are kept for as long as those obligations require. Unsuccessful applications for board and steering group roles are deleted within twelve months.
Cookies and this website
This website does not set any cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
All typefaces, images and other assets are served from this site itself. The site makes no requests to third party servers, so no third party receives your IP address when you visit.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it transferred to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@creativefuturessouthwest.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
